Nope, it’s ground speed, which is true airspeed +or- wind
801mph is 696 knots, and that is what the pilots would see as ground speed. Their true airspeed, depending on the aircraft type, would probably be in the 450-500kts range. So you’re looking at a 200ish knot tailwind. Personally, I see this kind of ground speed often over Japan and the Pacific when heading easterly. My personal high ground speed is 710kts (817mph) of over Japan. With all that said, the speed pilots actually fly is the Indicated Airspeed or a speed expressed as a percentage of Mach speed higher up. Again depending on the aircraft, Mach cruising speed varies from about M.77 to M.86, with the associated indicated airspeed dropping as you get higher up.
